What a beautiful way to begin a new school year; together in prayer.

This Sunday we prayed over our children and teenagers, and over the parents and teachers who walk alongside them.

We pray for a joyful and fruitful school year, for new friendships, fresh opportunities, courage to grow and wisdom to make good choices. May our children know that wherever they go, God goes with them.

May His Holy Spirit guide them, His peace guard their hearts, and His favour rest upon them in every classroom, friendship and new challenge.

And to all our parents and teachers: may God give you wisdom, patience, strength and joy as you encourage and help this next generation flourish.

Here’s to a new season of learning, growing and becoming all God has called them to be!

🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL BLESSING ✏️📚

A new school year is beginning, new classrooms, new teachers, new friendships, new challenges and new opportunities. And before everyone steps into it, we want to pray. 🙏

This Sunday at The Garden, we want to take a moment to pray over our children, teens and students, our teachers and school staff, and every parent and family entering this new season.

Our prayer is that they would walk into this year knowing that God goes with them. That He would give them wisdom when they need it, courage when things feel difficult, good friendships, protection, joy, and opportunities to grow, not only in knowledge, but in faith and in who God has created them to be.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

So whether your child is starting school for the very first time, moving into a new class, heading into secondary school or university, or whether you yourself are teaching or working in education, this blessing is for you. ❤️

This Sunday is our last Summer Garden Sunday together!

Our Summer Garden Sundays are simply a little different from usual: we start at 11:00 AM, the service is slightly shorter, but we still worship together and hear from God’s Word, with extra time afterwards for community and a shared picnic.

So bring your own picnic, stay a little longer, meet someone new, and enjoy summer together.

Whether you’ve been with us all summer or this will be your first time, we love to meet you!

Some people may move across the world, but they’ll always have a place in the family.

This Sunday we’re so happy to welcome Danai back to The Garden! After faithfully serving as one of our worship leaders, she moved to Uruguay, where she and her husband started their beautiful family. And every time she’s back in the Netherlands, she still blesses us by leading us into God’s presence.

That’s the beauty of the Church. We may live in different countries, but we’re one family in Christ. Some people are sent, some stay, but we’re all part of His story.

Summer may be flying by, but there are still two more Special Sundays to gather around the table, worship together, hear God’s Word, share a picnic, meet someone new, and simply enjoy being family.

🕚 Please note: during our Summer Garden Sundays we start at 11:00 AM (instead of our usual 10:00 AM).

Each Sunday includes worship, a message from God’s Word, and plenty of time to slow down, connect, and enjoy community together.

In this honest message, Gavriel shares how he reached a point where he realized that trying harder wasn’t the answer.

Even though he knew God’s promises, he found himself running on empty.

Then Isaiah 40 reminded him of a truth that changed everything:

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:30–31)

This isn’t a promise that we’ll never grow tired. It’s a promise that God meets us there.

Gavriel shares how he learned to come to God not only as our creator but also as a loving Father; One who is personally involved, who restores, renews, and gives strength for each new day.
