Ezekiel 34:26
“I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.
I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.”
Psalm 40:3
"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord."
Dear ICTG Family!
September marks the beginning of a new season in The Garden: one filled with fresh rhythms, courses, and events (see details below). This is a season to go deeper: to grow and to flourish, to be blessed so that we might be a blessing, that many in Hilversum and beyond would “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
We believe the key to this next season of depth is worship. Music and song can help us focus our hearts and give voice to our praise, but worship is far more than that. Worship is an offering, an attitude of the heart, a lifestyle of seeking and surrendering. It is pouring ourselves out before God and declaring who He is. In worship, we fix our eyes and anchor our hearts on Him and on His Word.
When we focus on who He is and what He has done, we catch a glimpse of His power, might, and majesty—and we find boldness to ask Him to heal, save, and restore.
When we remember His faithfulness, we are in awe of His creation and rest in the truth that He cares for even the smallest details of our lives.
When we declare His character, our trust deepens as we experience the reality of His easy yoke and light burden.
When we encounter Him as our true Father, we feel His embrace, His covering, His forgiveness, and the assurance that we are His children—His heirs.
We were made to worship - not for what we receive - but simply because of who He is. Yet in worship, we are changed. Something beautiful happens: we exchange our perspective for His, our struggles for His joy, our grief for His love, and our turmoil for His peace. Worship aligns our will with Jesus’, renews our minds, and restores our hearts.
We can’t wait to see what God will do in this season: He is faithful. (Deut 31:8), so let’s step into this new season together: expectant, ready to encounter Him in worship, and eager to carry His fragrance into our families, schools, workplaces, throughout Hilversum, and beyond.
With love,
